How to Connect Emby to Yamby (Android Client)
This documentation guides you step by step on how to connect your Emby server to the Yamby app on your Android device.
Yamby is an alternative client for Emby, allowing you to access your media collection directly from your Android phone or tablet, providing a viewing experience optimized for mobile devices.
1. Installing the Yamby App
The first step is to install the Yamby app on your Android device. You can do this in two ways:
Option A - From Google Play Store Access the official link from the Play Store and install the app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hush.yamby
Option B - Via APK file If you prefer to install the app manually, you can download the APK file from here: https://cdn.adelin.org/downloads/yamby/Yamby_1.6.9.12_APKPure.xapk
2. Open the app after installation
After the installation has completed successfully, open the Yamby app. You will see the main start screen of the application.
3. Adding a new server
On the main screen of the app, in the bottom right corner, you will notice a button with the plus (+) symbol. Press this button to add a new Emby server.
4. Configuring the server connection
Now you will fill in the connection details for the Emby server. Follow the instructions below carefully:
Fill in the fields as follows:
- Server address:
adelinx.go.ro - Port:
8920 - Protocol: Select HTTPS (mandatory! The server does NOT accept HTTP connections for security reasons)
- Path: Leave this field UNFILLED (empty)
- Username: Enter your Emby account username
- Password: Enter your Emby account password
After filling in all the fields, press the Connect button at the bottom, right corner.
5. Alternative server

443 - Protocol: HTTPS
The remaining fields (Path, Username, Password) are filled in the same way as in the standard configuration.
6. Select the user and server
After successfully connecting, you will see the server and user selection screen. Here you can confirm that you have connected to the correct server and that the user is the right one.
7. Configuration complete
Congratulations! You have successfully configured Yamby on your Android device.
You can now access your entire Emby media collection directly from the app. Yamby is much more optimized than the official Emby player - it runs faster, is more stable, and offers a much more user-friendly experience.
Useful tips:
- Make sure you have a stable internet connection before connecting
- Double-check your login credentials to avoid connection errors
- If you encounter problems, try the alternative server option
