How to install Emby on macOS

This guide shows you how to install and configure the Emby application on macOS.

Download Emby for macOS

Standard Installer

Apple App Store (Latest)

1. Downloading the Emby application

1. Open a browser (for example, Chrome)
2. Access the download link: Download

3. The application will download as an archive

2. Extracting and opening the application

1. Move the archive to Desktop
2. Close the browser, you don't need it anymore
3. Double click the archive to extract it
4. You will see the Emby application. Press Open

3. Configuring the Emby server

1. After opening, at Connect to Server, enter the server data:

Host: emby.adelin.org (you can leave Port blank)
Alternative Host: adelinx.go.ro (with Port: 8920)

2. Press Connect and connect with your Emby account

4. Authentication

1. If the Sign in with Emby Connect screen appears, press Skip

5. Installation via Store (optional)

1. You can also install directly from App Store
2. In the search bar, type Emby

3. Press the first application and select Download

4. After downloading, press Open

5. Configure the same: Host = emby.adelin.org (blank port) or Host = adelinx.go.ro (port 8920) and authenticate
