How to install Emby on Linux (Ubuntu)

This guide shows you step by step how to install and configure the Emby application on a Linux system based on Ubuntu.

Download Emby for Linux

DEB Package
https://www.adelin.org/download/emby-theater-deb_3.0.21_amd64.deb

1. Downloading the Emby application

  1. Open a browser (for example, Firefox)
  2. Access the link: https://adelinx.go.ro/download/emby-theater-deb_3.0.21_amd64.deb
  3. The application will download automatically

2. Installing the application

  1. Move the downloaded file to Desktop
  2. Open the application and press Install
  3. Enter your Ubuntu system password if prompted
  4. Wait for the Installed message

3. Opening the Emby application

  1. Press the Windows key and search for mbi
  2. You will see the application in the results list

4. Initial configuration

  1. Press Next to continue
  2. At Sign in with Emby Connect, press Skip

5. Connecting to the Emby server

  1. At Connect to Server, enter the server data:

Host: emby.adelin.org (you can leave Port blank)
Alternative Host: adelinx.go.ro (with Port: 8920)

  1. Press Connect and connect with your Emby account

6. Installation via Terminal (Second method)

Open terminal (Windows key → Terminal) and run the commands:

Downloading the Emby application:

wget https://adelinx.go.ro/download/emby-theater-deb_3.0.21_amd64.deb

If there are certificate verification problems:

wget --no-check-certificate https://adelinx.go.ro/download/emby-theater-deb_3.0.21_amd64.deb

Installing the application:sudo dpkg -i emby-theater-deb_3.0.21_amd64.deb

  1. Enter your Linux system password when prompted
  2. After installation, close the terminal

Press the Windows key and search for Emby

The application is now installed and configured, ready for use.
